One of the old traditions of Tata is the ’Porcincula’ held on the first Sunday of each August. This is a folk art and handicraft fair combined with street shows, programs. The ’Porcincula’ was started by grey friars. It was named after the ’Madonna degli Angeli’ church also known as ’Porcincula’ church built in 1568 over the grave of Francis of Assis. Jesus promised him that those who worship in that church would be guaranteed forgiveness. Do not miss this traditional event this time! There will be handicraft fair, street theatre, comedies, exhibitions, stunts, programs for children, and a great variety of food and drink for those who look for entertainment.
